Does anyone know the easiest way for the s7000 to blur out the back ground of a picture while the subject stays sharp? I've done it before (outdoors) and haven't really been able to do it again.

I've noticed with my s5100 that I really have to get the person/object far away from the background. Use the largest (numerically smallest) aperture you can for the best result, but you're never going to get the depth of field as small as a DSLR.

Are you talking about bokeh? A friend of mine tried it with the fastest aperture and it works.
