Take a special photo each day for January - and it would be good if you explain why you actually took this photo

A photo of someone new you met
Maybe a food you ate for the first time
Something you just learned how to do
Take a photo of something that made you smile
And also - take a photo of yourself at least once this month!!

Yes, they can be in Monochrome or colour, in any art form – colourfully painted or as a negative – any way you are happy with.

Please post a 'fresh' photo for each day of January, taken expressly for the Challenge.
Let's also use this month to remember that we are not only photographers, we are friends with a common hobby.
Please make an effort to review and comment on the other participants' entries.
