Here's the first one for this month. "Letter to a Friend".

I decided to join this challenge but not limit myself to one artist. My MP3 player contains all kinds of music and I don't actually have one favorite band at this point in time. I kind of want to go with whatever I'm listening to. Hope that's okay. :)

I've struggled over this and finally come to a decision. While I could pick 30 songs from a number of my favorite artists, I have been mulling around for quite a while doing a series to tribute lost musicians/singers/songwriters over the past several decades. I wish to participate this month with this idea but instead of the ONE being and artist, theONE would be the one thing they all have in common, their influence from the grave. I am planning on only working with artists from 1970 on since they are the ones that I can remember in life and death.

If anyone feels this is too much of a divergence from the challenge theme, I will be glad to reconsider. If it is OK for this challenge I offer...
