Want to thank everybody who participated in this challenge colouring February red. And if you live in he Northern Hemisphere focussing on a colour must have helped to battle winter blues.
Cheers Mieke
A (wo)man should hear a little music, read a little poetry, and see a fine picture every day of his/her life, in order that worldly cares may not obliterate the sense of the beautiful. (free to J.W. von Goethe)
Sadly this is my last image in the RED challenge. I have enjoyed it immensely. Thank you Meike for your suggestion. This is also the sad end to one of the RED Pears, uploaded 3 days ago.
Red Eyes! My final image. It's been a lot of fun doing the challenge this month. Thank you very much Mieke for the topic. Red is not my favorite color, so I had to do some looking. It was great to reconnect with some of you again and nice to meet tiggy, lexis and micky_waby. Hope to see you around PBase. All the Best to you all!

Thank you Mieke for the idea, bringing some color to this month. Germany has had the gloomiest winter since 1951 (When I was born ), having had only 98 hours of sunshine since beginning of December. So do not wonder, if Melvin is looking for sunshine too!
and finally #28 - happy memories of Mum who would have been 100 years old today.
A really interesting challenge for the month, having started wondering what on earth to photograph in the end I found so many subjects and we've run out of days! Thank you to Mieke and all the Pbasers who have commented on my images.
This was a great challenge. I haven't been able to comment on all the fabulous entries and that is why I haven't shown my 28 red pictures. But if you are interested: http://www.pbase.com/emmelafoto/februari_2013 I have enjoyed it. Thank you all.
