Sigh...I'm getting further and further behind in commenting. I'm so sorry. Today I've been trying to assist in a number of community/social issues...a Congolese refugee couple who had a baby girl on Saturday but live in a roach-infested apartment, a young pregnant woman who is now homeless due to a domestic abuse situation and a food cupboard who's president is fighting the knowledge that they will be out of money in 6 months if spending continues at the current rate....unfortunately, commenting has suffered. My apologies. I do plan to catch up...

A little Texas history. The pioneers really had a hard life.

Mine for Thursday....almost too late. Been looking at upgrading my camera so have been on-line researching all night. I sold my backup and found a 50D online for very inexpensive. Anybody like their's or do you prefer the 60D for those that have either Canon cameras.

Intake towers of Hoover Dam

This is the latest addition to our downtown beautification programme. We have finally reached the tipping point where if you are store owner you have to renovate if you are going to keep up. If you Google Earth street view, Princess and Sydenham Street Kingston Ontario, you can see the before look. But ya gotta hurry, the Google Earth team is in town so it can change anytime.


It is part of this delightful group.


Just got the call, one of our lab people is feeling poorly, so I'm off to work early. Will look at all the new stuff much later this evening. And, thank you again for all the fine comments.

Well it struck me that an architectural shot does not need to be the whole thing, and moreover that a back-lit high contrast view might work well.
