I agree with you Norm, I prefer the usual way too. Doing it this way is going to create a very long thread. I even prefer posting the image in "URL" mode, rather than "PB-Image", then you actually have to visit the link to see the image. That shortens the thread even more. Just my .02 cents. :D

Sorry, I find this too awkward to follow. Why is Norm posting his comments here?

It makes it too hard for us to see new posts this way. And not many of us post our photos here - we just use the URL way.

I hope this isn't a new permanent way for the Challenge

Janice

I think that all commenting should be done on the photo's page in the owner's gallery, but I must admit that I prefer that we post the PBImage style link instead of the URL. I review some of the challengers entries from my Favorites list, so when I visit the forum to review and comment, I can instantly see what I've reviewed and what I haven't. I find it saves time for me when I don't click on a URL and find that I've already seen the photo. I also like to evaluate the smaller photo in the forum, because it shows the composition quality instantly. Just my preference. Hope I'm not rocking the boat... but I plan to continue to post an image as the link instead of the URL.

I'm guessing that Norman interpreted "leave comments for other participants in the challenge. No posting only please, the challenge is about having fun and camaraderie" to mean leave comments for other participants here and don't just post. It would be easy for that to be lost in translation between his native French and "our form" of English.

When I responded to Norm's comment here in the forum, it was due to the lack of navigation tools in pbase. It was more direct to return the comment here. Sorry if we caused to much concern. It won't happen again, at least my me. Now...I have been posting the image within the forum rather than the link...if the group decides that is not what we want to do let me know. My issue is with the slowness of pbase. I use other sites that open and link so much quicker...I have 1 month left on my account. Give me a reason to renew !!!

I like how we are able to discuss issues like a team. One of the reasons why I stay (Dennis)!

Here is my second image. I know it is a bit busy, but the dappled light was too hard to resist.
