How prophetic and powerful photos can be -
Steam engines have long been a big part of my life, so yesterday's image of a bucket of coal seemed like a logical addition to my series of "earth."
At the time that I took and posted the image, I was oblivious to the tragedy of 29 coal miners in New Zealand.
Today is Thanksgiving Holiday in the USA. Imagine how I felt this morning, about the image I took, when I learned of the mining disaster.
My thoughts go to the families of the miners who lost their lives.

I thought of many different images I could post for the last image of this series. I decided to just shoot an image of the little piece of earth, I call "mine;" and give thanks for all that I have.
