For this weeks Totally Informal Transglobal Challenge I propose
"A Cliché".

Postings should be done preferably on Thursday (where you live).

Please link your image back to this thread in the forums so that everyone has a chance to participate.

Have fun!

Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia:
"cliché is a saying, expression, idea, or element of an artistic work which has been overused to the point of losing its original meaning or effect, rendering it a stereotype, especially when at some earlier time it was considered meaningful or novel. The term is frequently used in modern culture for an action or idea which is expected or predictable, based on a prior event. It is likely to be used pejoratively. A cliché may sometimes be used in a work of fiction for comedic effect."
TheFreeDictionary:
1. A trite or overused expression or idea: "Even while the phrase was degenerating to cliché in ordinary public use . . . scholars were giving it increasing attention" (Anthony Brandt).
2. A person or character whose behavior is predictable or superficial: "There is a young explorer . . . who turns out not to be quite the cliche expected" (John Crowley).

But of course: be creative, images certainly can be a cliché too!!

So many to choose from, we could make this a full week challenge.

Here's my attempt....

My interpretation is more one of images than of words.

An elderly couple on a bench: you find them everywhere, even in movies and videoclips.
