"PINK" as its breast cancer awareness month i think it only fitting we show our support...ahem...in any way you want to... that goes for you men too...you need to check your boobies also!!
if any of you need help doing this...you need only ask us girlies, we'd love to help!!

I am a breast cancer survivor (7 years!). I will not be offended by the photos that are shown here. It's all part of the "breast-obsessed" society we live in, which intertwines with all the ideas that went through my head when I got the diagnosis. After I got through treatment, I never saw things that way again. It was just an appendage that had to go. I kept my sense of humor, as most of us do, and I am interested to see what others may post. I don't speak for anyone else but myself.

This photo is not a great one, and I wasn't the photographer, but it shows me sans eyebrows and sporting a turban. It's not Thursday, but I hope you will let me go early just this once.

janet...you are definately allowed to be first this week!! congratulations on beating the disease!!
my mum is also a breast cancer survivor and i too have had a scare...but i'm ok!!

and i really don't think anyone would treat this issue with any vulgarity...a little humour maybe with a lot of awareness i hope!! its not just a womans problem, men get it too...although its not publicised as much!!

In no way does this challenge trivialise something extremely serious to all of us. I hope everyone thinks carefully about the image that they post, and that those images you all see allow you to understand, just a bit more.

Good topic, Bev & Lee. Though I didn't have breast cancer I am 15 years free of another type of cancer, thanks to the wonders of modern medicines & talented surgeons
& no doubt the money put into finding cures...so give, give, give !!

You have lived and survived the terror... that is the only way I can imagine or describe such a diagnosis .
