The challenge for September is...
"Street Signs"
--
Explanation?
Certainly.
September is on of the four month with only 30 days. Hmm...what happened in the 1930's? Well ~ among other things, the first diesel automobile trip was completed, and NYC started installing traffic lights to warm people to slow down. Another effective way to warn drivers is signage! Street signs warn drivers!! There are even some really funny street signs out there! Can you find them?

I thought the scavenger hunt challenge was for August, or is it continuing into September?

Can we refine it to all signs found on the road, street or highway? Not just driver related but some that would inform of a business or some interesting point?????? This would broaden the range somewhat. I guess that I mean any sign along the road. That is my question.

Yeah ~ I was planning on doing that anyway. The challenge is open for interpretation!

There are weeks when I never leave the house so I think I'm going to pass on the street signs.. if I do anything wild and fun with a sign (and I will be looking for them) I'll let you know.. but I think I'll see about doing the hunt challenge if I can do that one from home mostly. Have a great Sept everyone!!

Hmmm... 30 street signs must be possible; well I'll give it a try anyway.
My first 'Sign' is an easy one; I pass this one every day on my way to work and it can be found at local road work where the traffic situation is far from clear.
The dutch text on the sign says: Watch Out! Oncoming Traffic

My entry for September 1st. A sign in logging town up in the cascade mountains. This is in Packwood, Washington, and no cowboys here. So, cowboy coffee.

It must be the sign of the times but there seems to be more and more of these signs.
