I think I'm going to have to at least CHANGE what I do, Angela! I'm not nearly as creative as you are, and I really need SOMETHING to photograph, and with work using up so much of my day, I'm really getting low on ideas of what to photograph! I think after I finish this year I may come up with something like posting a picture a day FROM the year, but multiple pictures for some days, and NO pictures for other days, but that would still allow me to create another Yearly Montage. We'll see.

I love your work, Angela! Keep it up!!! Your style is awesome, and your encouragement you add with your comments on my images is ALWAYS appreciated (as is the comments the many other people leave. Comments certainly help keep you going!).

Well Paul .... very creative of you to dream this up! I like your standard of only using a picture taken that day. Creates a whole new dynamic around being alert and open to picture taking.

I have 51 weeks left .... should be a hoot!

Ha! It is a challenge that's for sure - I think I have a week or so under my belt and I can see my journal writing has slowed and my ability to come up with something creative for the day has gotten more difficult.

Ummm...I have 51 weeks to go, too! Aiiii!

Kat Wilkens checking in. I joined at the end of February but had started taking a photo each day on Jan. 1. I wanted to do a website and found PBase via Google. I couldn't believe so many other people were doing a photo a day! I decided it was a perfect place to put my pictures so friends and family could see them. An added bonus is receiving comments from other photographers. It's so inspiring to see what subjects everyone comes up with. I'm gradually visiting galleries but haven't gotten to all of them yet.

ANona Boyte here. Im loving everthing about PAD. Started in Oct. Missed a few time, but am into the routine regularly now. Having submitted and taken part in several voting/subject sites. I love the freedom of PAD. My photos are far from professional, but its all about the enjoyment for me.

I'm CJ.

Mostly I try to shoot everyday.

But the reality is that some days of shooting are a seeming gold mine, while other days
are a complete dud -- creativity (at least for me) does not necessarily follow an exact
circadian rhythm; light (particularly mother nature's) does not always co-operate
every 24 hours, and; some days afford many opportunities for image making, while
other days seemingly present very few.

As such, I mostly try to post something from the past 24 hours, but I'm not
entirely hardcore about that, particularly if today was a "dry" day while
yesterday, (or the day before) yielded more than one okay or meaningful image.

Suffice that when I look back on my PAD shooting in a decade, it just accurately
reflects where my image making was at during these present days -- in the grander
scheme of things, remembering that it is the accumulative effort which is important.

Or so it seems to me.

Hi to All,

I have to admit that I have missed this message so this my late reply.

My name is Joe and I am an amateur photographer. My previous camera was the Minolta X300 with a 28-70 zoom lens.

Just started today and boy am I scared!

My name is Gary Blanchette. I'm from Irvine, Calfornia. I guess I am still considered a novice since I have only become interested in Photography (digital) 5 to 6 months ago.

Here is my PAD gallery: http://www.pbase.com/gpaai/pad

My wife encouraged me to pursue photography. Being in a wheelchair, I told her that I didn't think I would be able to come close to capturing the images some of the photographers I have seen on PBase capture. Her answer was, "Well many wouldn't take the time to see the world from your eye level either."

God bless her, I love her so much.

Welcome in Gary!

I saw your debut photo earlier and loved it!! Had a peek at your other galleries and think you have some excellent photos!

Your wife sounds like a very special woman :)

Thank you so much Angela. Receiving a compliment from someone such as yourself is truly an ego booster. Not to worry though, I doubt that it will ever become over inflated. :D
