I have so many that I'm not proud of it is hard to choose. This one makes me cringe whenever I look at it.

As far as the question of why post an image I'm not happy with goes, I view the PaD commitment as a learning process. Some of the learning that happens is photo technique, some is artistic, but some is learning how to work with my own mood swings and energy fluctuations. Yes, everybody has 24 hrs. in a day so it's not a matter of time shortage; at least not for me. Honestly, though, some days my creativity and vision are dead in the water. Nothing looks interesting to me and I'm not motivated to shoot anything. If I can, I'll push through that block and take a picture anyway - sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't. Other times, the day just gets away from me and I haven't shot a thing. Maybe I'll post something that I haven't posted yet or maybe I'll play catch up another day. Bottom line, though, is that if I take a picture that day, I'll post it. I can learn something even from my "failures". Sometimes, the comments that other PaD'ers post about a photo of mine point out a nice feature or quality that I hadn't seen myself. I see the commitment to do a PaD as a commitment to a process, not a commitment to perfection. I can post the good pictures in another gallery some other day.

Today's

Not my normal stuff, highly manipulated image. Although it is better than the original photo--very low res on the original. Even in it the face was not recognizable.

http://www.pbase.com/image/25145777 Has got to be the worst, hands down for me. Add the fact I roped my wife into it, well, heck, I was inspired and demented. I should have fried the egg and ate it.

so how is one to comment on such a subject? Usually I make comments like "beautiful shot!" or "Nicely done," but here I can't tell you guys, "Gee, now that certainly is an AWFUL shot!" It'd be amusing though.

p.s. it's really tough to single out my worst...i'm disgusted with a lot of them...kinda like how cooks don't eat their own food.

I have to agree that there are a few PaD pictures that have been posted that are a little "rough around the edges", to be kind. However, seeing them out of the context intended by the photographer, and coming to them without bias, I've found many to be nice. I've certainly taken some bad shots in my time, but perhaps it's the perspective I've brought to the shots, perhaps it's been my expectations that have let me down.

Maybe the thing to do is look at them anew?

Mine has to be this little gem, taken at a hotel in Chantilly. It was late at night, I was (ahem) slightly the worse for wear and I had just started PAD so I needed a picture. Et voila - blurry fountain, anyone?

Makes me cringe every time I see it. If you are one of the 43 people who have visited it at the time of posting all I can say is 'Sorry"! :D

You know what really sux? You guys are all posting these photos that you say are crappy, and most of them are pretty darn good. I could just long for at least one shot that looks that good.
