I will be at Olympic this June and thought i would fit in a day of whale watching for some orca photos too. I was dismayed to see new legislation from NOAA that doubles the minimum viewing distance to 200 yards. Has anyone who has done a San Juan island orca trips got any thoughts on if the trip wouls still be worth doing? (i define worth doing as getting good quality photos, not simply observing)
